Evans gained fame for his portrayal of the Human Torch Marvel Comics character in the 2005 movie Fantastic Four, and the sequel Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007). Evans has appeared in other films based on comic books, such as TMNT (2007) Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2009) Snowpiercer (2003). The character of Steve Rogers/Captain America was in Captain America: The Winter Soldier in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films Captain America: The First Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014 and 2015), Captain America: Civil War (2016) and Avengers: Infinity War (2018) in addition to Endgame 2019, brought him more acceptance.
